Eastern Brown Snake - September 206

28th September 2006

The kids and I came across this Eastern Brown Snake in the dry grass, while we were in the car at the block.  We had just finished watering the trees we had planted and were on our way to leave the block when we saw this guy basking in the sun.

First trees planted at Jarowair September 2006

20th September 2006

These included a trial of Applegum, Grevillia, Banksia & River Red Gum.  The Applegum didn't last, and the Grevillias and Banksia's didn't die, but didn't really grow either!  The Gums were more successfull, but didn't flourish like other ones planted later did.

We have Water!

We Have Water!

Installing a Bore was essential with a long-term drought in South East Queensland.  Having the use of bore-water to water trees was imperative for the rejuvination of Jarowair.
