It is still incredibly dry here at our property in rural south-east Queensland, despite receiving one inch of rain last week. We have become accustomed to not seeing much in the way of flowers, either native or ones we have planted in the way of garden shrubs.
This morning however I stumbled upon this spectacular Many-flowered Mat Rush (Lomandra multiflora) in full bloom and I haven't seen one as beautiful as this in quite some time. The plant is growing down below the overflow of the large rain water tank and I suppose it is in the ideal spot to be able to perform as it has. Hoping for some follow up rain.
