While we often see Black-Shouldered Kites close by, they don't often venture to our property. This afternoon though, while watching some wrens in the grass, I saw a shadow above to discover a Black-Shouldered Kite circiling and hovering above. It stopped briefly on a Telegraph pole and I was able to take a couple of pictures. Of course the Noisy Miners soon sent it on its way! J.G.
Another gem. How great to have one of the word's most graceful raptors around. A pretty good find, I reckon.
