It has taken some time for me to identify this beautiful moth that I had photographed at our patch. This is a "Green Blotched Moth" (Cosmodes elegans) and it apparently feeds on Verbena, which we do have growing in a few different areas at Jarowair from time to time. This photo however was taken on a eucalyptus tree here. Thanks to Don at Moths of Toowoomba Blog for adding a post about this gorgeous moth, so I have been able to give it a positive i.d. and add it to our blog. J.G.
